Through a growing amount of research on DNA we increasingly learn about genetic causes of congenital anomalies and the risk of diseases. By better detecting relevant signals from a large amount of data, Artificial Intelligence can contribute in innovative ways. For example, AI can perform advanced facial recognition to support the healthcare professional in recognizing rare anomalies in order to diagnose genetic abnormalities.
