The Klokhuis Science Award was announced on Sunday, March 19 during the eighth edition of InScience 2023 by Klokhuis presenter Nizar El Manouzi. More than 300 children met the scientists during the program "Meet the Researcher" in the Mariënburg Library. Besides the presentation of the prize, the Klokhuis episode 'My father has ALS' was shown, about the winning research of the last edition.
The study "Daddy can't walk, but he can hop" is the winner of the seventh Klokhuis Science Prize. The winning project is by Anouk Tosserams and Jorik Nonnekes of the Radboudumc, partner of Noviotech Campus. InScience International Science Film Festival Nijmegen is one of the biggest science film festivals in Europe. The program most importantly consists of an overview of the best science films of the year. InScience offers a broad program, with talks, film debates, Q&A’s, meetings, and expositions on the cutting edge of science and art. During InScience, Nijmegen is changed into a meeting place for filmmakers, scientists and the audience for exchanging new insights.
InScience Festival screens the best science films of recent years. During the festival, the selected films are judged by the InScience Jury and the Student Jury, which are reconstituted each year.
