Summer Highlights: Talent, Connections, Impact

This summer at Noviotech Campus was all about connection, innovation, and talent development. We welcomed national and international delegations, government representatives, and over 180 students from ROC and the international Summer School. Bringing these groups together creates opportunities for companies to increase visibility, attract and retain talent, and connect directly with future employees. At the same time, students gain an inspiring and realistic view of the technology sector and the career opportunities our region offers.

Our approach to talent development spans from primary and secondary education to vocational training, higher education, and university. Initiatives such as Techkwadraat and Sterk Techniekonderwijs introduce young people to technology through regional events like Blik in Bedrijven and Bedrijvendagen. For vocational, higher, and university students, we run Challenge Based Learning programs, where they collaborate with companies on real-life challenges. This gives students firsthand experience of the companies and their work environment, while businesses have the opportunity to engage and inspire future talent early on.

The summer also strengthened visibility for our campus and companies. We participated in the Most Innovative Student of the Year award and the HAN academic year opening, while on-campus Meet & Eats and informal gatherings once again provided valuable networking opportunities. These activities foster collaboration between companies, educational institutions, and students, building a sustainable talent network.

In short, the summer showed that connecting education, companies, and innovation not only inspires students about technology but also supports the growth, visibility, and long-term success of the companies on our campus. Together, we are shaping an exciting agenda for the year ahead, continuing to invest in talent, collaboration, and opportunities.
