Her Majesty Queen Máxima will pay a working visit to NXP Semiconductors at Noviotech Campus in Nijmegen on May 25. The company won the Koning Willem I Award. Queen Máxima is the honorary president of the Koning Willem I Foundation.
Queen Máxima gets to see several applications of chips. She views a robot that transports wafers, disks containing chips, using Ultra Wide Band technology for precise location determination. The Car infotainment team shows the development of 30 years of car radio, and the Advanced Drive Assistance Systems team demonstrates a pedestrian detection radar for cars.
Maxima will also view artwork based on NXP's industrial heritage and created through a collaboration with Artez University of the Arts in Arnhem. Next, she will discuss how NXP is working to create opportunities for female talent and the company's ambitions to become climate neutral.
