Noviotech News: Spring Energy, Growth, Impact

Can you feel it too? That spring energy. New ideas taking root, collaborations beginning to grow, and a region clearly on the move. At Noviotech Campus, this translates into real steps forward — strategically, physically and in terms of content and innovation.

Accelerating together at the Lifeport Semicon Event

The past weeks were all about connection and positioning. During the Lifeport Semicon Event on January 27, watch the aftermovie. Noviotech Campus was repeatedly mentioned by partners as a connector for talent development, value chain collaboration and the future of semicon in our region. Moments like these show why a strong campus community matters: a place where companies, knowledge institutes and government come together and accelerate innovation together.

Staying on course in a region that is growing

We continue to build on that momentum. In the coming period we will welcome several delegations, including D66 (March 11 – local D66 representatives and the Dutch House of Representatives), Brussels City Development (March 16), the IADP Spring Meeting (March 19), and delegations from the Municipality of Almere and BMC (March 30).

At the same time, the new multi-year plan has been presented through the steering group (read the press release here), outlining a clear direction that aligns with the ambitions of the new national government. With municipal elections approaching, this is also the moment to keep working together locally. The fact that Noviotech Campus is mentioned in the national coalition agreement as one of the key campuses underlines the role we play together. The seeds planted today will shape the strength of our ecosystem in the years ahead.

Ruby is coming to The Frontrunner: a new meeting place at Noviotech Campus

Ruby will become the new meeting place in The Frontrunner, the campus clubhouse opening in Q4 2026. More than a café or restaurant, Ruby will be a warm and energetic place where you start your day with coffee, meet colleagues for lunch, host informal meetings, or end the day with drinks or dinner.

The concept is created by Nijmegen hospitality entrepreneurs Renske de Laat and Wouter Beek, who combine strong local roots with experience in creating places where quality, atmosphere and connection come together. Ruby will be open to everyone — from campus residents and entrepreneurs to students and neighbours.

More than 100 students every week at Noviotech Campus

That connection between knowledge and business is already visible today. Every week, more than 100 students are active on Noviotech Campus, working on real challenges from companies, for example through Challenge Based Learning. Research, education and entrepreneurship truly meet in practice here.

Students from Christelijke Hogeschool Ede, for example, are currently working on projects to increase the visibility of Noviotech Campus, another great example of how young talent directly contributes to our growth.

In short: the campus is buzzing. And you are right at the centre of it.
