Ready for the next chapter
Summer is coming to an end and Noviotech Campus is back in full swing. A lot has happened over the past few months, and the second part of the year promises to be an exciting one. New people, new connections, new talent and a campus that is visibly evolving.
This summer, Henk Vos joined us as interim director. With his extensive experience in area development, real estate and community building, he brings valuable expertise at an important stage in the development of Noviotech Campus.
We also strengthened connections beyond the campus. During a visit from NWO – the Dutch Research Council, companies and knowledge partners came together to discuss innovation, research, funding and how to accelerate the journey from technology to real-world application. Member of Parliament Judith Bühler also visited the campus to discuss the position of our region within the Dutch semiconductor industry and what is needed to strengthen it further: collaboration, talent, long-term investment and strong connections between the region and national government.
We also joined fellow Dutch national top campuses and science parks to exchange knowledge and explore shared challenges around talent, innovation, space and infrastructure.
And of course, summer was also about bringing people together. Our annual Summer Event with Kadans brought employees from across the campus together for a BBQ, while during the Nijmegen 4Daagse, we joined our Lifeport partners in supporting walkers with a place to rest, recover and recharge.
The next chapter is already taking shape.
The opening of The Frontrunner is getting closer. Our new campus clubhouse will bring together companies and organisations including Global Scan, Tanaka, RobotLab/Radboud University, Praxa Sense and Briskr. The Noviotech Campus team will also move in, alongside RUBY, our new hospitality place for barista coffee, lunch, catering, meetings, events and drinks.
Outside, the plans for the redevelopment of the campus grounds are nearly complete, with the first Jungle Boxes for trees arriving soon. Step by step, the campus will become greener, more inviting and a great place to be.
And new talent continues to find its way here. This week, more than 100 first-year technical students from ROC Nijmegen visited companies including Odyssey, ITEC, NXP, Neways and Alferink. Connecting students with companies early in their education is essential: it helps young talent discover the opportunities in technology while building the workforce our region will need in the years ahead.
Summer may be over, but the momentum at Noviotech Campus is only growing.
