Genetically Modified Organisms

It is going fast with CRISPR-Cas: one of the most important scientific breakthroughs of the past decades. The news about Chinese researcher He has shocked many by claiming to have altered the genomes of a twin to make them resistant to infection by HIV. It initiated a firestorm of criticism, mostly within the scientific world itself. Opinions on what is and what is not ethically are shifting over time. Scientific research always offers new perspectives, making possible what was previously unthinkable. InScience shows the discussion around the developments and zooms in on the possibilities, the dangers and dilemma’s of this fast developing technology.

Program InScience 2019
InScience shows the best science films that have been released worldwide this year, international top scientists share their newest insights and an extensive education program encourages students to see the difference between fact and fiction.
